Les rencontres internationales Estive Numérique auront lieu à l’été 2010 à 100 km de Nice, sur les terres de Péone, à plus de 1800 mètres d’altitude sur les derniers espaces agricoles cultivables avant la haute montagne. Ces terres ont été cultivées jusqu’à la moitié du 20 ème siècle, et sont actuellement dédiées aux randonneurs et aux troupeaux des derniers bergers.

The Digital Peak international meeting will take place in summer 2010, on the territory of Péone, a small village 100km away from Nice on the Riviera, France. The conferences and workshops will be held 1800m high and above, in the wild, where the lands were cultivated until the middle of the XXth century. This place is now the rendez-vous of nature lovers and the grazing place for some of the last flocks of the Alps and their sheperds.
Thèmes: Autarcie et autonomie à l’âge numérique, patrimoine et développement, artisanat numérique et industrie, démocratie numérique, énergies et environnement…sont les thèmes principaux des ateliers, conférences, expositions et présentations qui animeront ces rencontres.
Comment technologies numériques, nature et patrimoine peuvent ils s’associer? Peut-on faire évoluer les productions alimentaires et industrielles dans le contexte des bouleversements climatiques et économiques ? Quelles innovations politiques et sociales proposent les communautés technologiques des logiciels libres, des matériels libres, des ressources libres ? Comment réduire notre dépendance à l’énergie et aux transports ? Comment promouvoir le libre accès à la connaissance et à l’éducation? Comment protéger la liberté de l’information ? Démocratie numérique, transparence, outils et services de partage du savoir et de l’information: comment réintégrer le citoyen dans la marche du monde ?
Artistes, ingénieurs, chercheurs, bidouilleurs hackers en anglais, à ne pas confondre avec voleurs, enseignants, penseurs et artisans viendront débattre et présenter leur travaux. L’appel à participation ainsi que les thématiques détaillées seront publiées début mai 2010.

Themes : Autarchy, autonomy, self-sufficiency in the digital age, heritage and development, digital artesans and DIY industry, digital democracy, energy & environnement…will be the main themes of the workshops, conferences, exhibitions and lightning talks of the meeting.
How digital technologies, nature and heritage can be associated to transform the landscape of every day life ? How food and goods productions can evoluate in the context of the climate change and economy crisis ? What are the political and social innovations that Open Source communities propose through open source software, open source hardware, open ressources ? How to reduce our dependency on energy and transports ? How to promote free acces to knowledge and education ? How to protect freedom of information ? Digital democracy, tranparency, tools for the sharing of knowledge: how to re-integrate the citizen in the society decisions ?
Artists, engineers, researchers, teachers, hackers, activists, thinkers and digital craftsman are welcome to debate and present their works. The call for projects & participation will be published in the beginning of May 2010.All informations and Call For Projects here
